Gonell, a poor medieval man, leaves on a hunting trip to gather food only to return to find his mother, sister, and brother murdered by the kingas apprentice. After the sorrow is replaced by rage, Gonell sets out on the biggest quest of his lifea]vengeance. Upon capturing Krant (the guilty one), he has to choose between killing him where he is caught, or dragging him back to the castle for a trial. Having trouble adjusting to his new role as Lord, he takes on a love who helps him through his lifeas perils and gains more than he could ever imagine.
