Together, they hatch a plan to escape the city and move north. Willy sees the move as a chance to hide from the law and find love with the redheaded student. When she introduces Willy to her best friend, Willy falls instantly in love the struggling artist. Acting as savior to the homeless painter, Willy attempts to capture her heart through compromise and struggle, Willy and the artist eventually forge a bond.
