Betrayals and Deceit chronicles deceptive approaches used to sell stocks of a new pharmaceutical company in Trinidad, the larger of the twin island nation of Trinidad and Tobago. The companyas organizer recruited friends and relatives to sell shares in North America and the Caribbean. Among them was Dr. Kathleen Flowers, a physician and divorced mother of two who became obsessed with regaining the affection of her former fiancA©, Kenneth Chyme, Esq. At the same time she became romantically involved with her limousine driver. Meanwhile, Dr. Carrie Chyme, the wife of Kenneth, was struggling with the renewed attention she was receiving from her former sweetheart, Dr. Gerard Boswicker. She eventually succumbed to Boswickeras demands while both were in Las Vegas for a convention. Kathleen Flowers sold numerous shares of Yaro Pharmaceutical to relatives, friends, parents of her pediatric patients, Kenneth, and her limousine driver. To her credit, or rather her misfortune, she invested much of her own money in the business venture as well. By design, Yaro Pharmaceutical was bankrupt even before one prescription was filled from the medicines it produced. The shareholders were never informed. The organizer, Dr. Aberdeen, became wealthy and was never prosecuted for the wrong he perpetrated on poor people in the Caribbean and Caribbean immigrants in North America. That was the ultimate in Betrayals and Deceit.
