Jena Rivera is a wife and working mother of two who is shocked out of her suburban complacency by the sudden death of her husband, John Rivera. The police consider John’s death to be a suicide until Jena is threatened by an anonymous phone call which compels her to attempt to solve the mystery of her husband’s death on her own. This leads to a break-in and an attack by an assassin who wants something that John had badly enough to kill again. Jena is pregnant but loses the baby. Which brings her the ostensible sympathy of the handsome Joel, who had business dealings with Jena’s husband shortly before his death. Joel seems to appear everywhere Jena does, despite an affair he is involved in with one of Jena’s closest friends, Sandy, a beautiful attorney who has it all, including a dangerous lifestyle. Jena travels from Miami to Paris to Fez, Morocco to locate the documents the killer wants to free her family from harm and avenge her husband’s death.
