Metaphysica, in Usum Eorum, Qui Eidem Student (1795)
Joseph Weber
Using selected biblical texts as his lens for interpreting the whole Bible, Dr. Roberts argues that within the Bible itself, a paradigm shift away from the old biblical theological worldview of exclusion was begun by Jesus who, in his ministry, consistently demonstrated attitudes favoring inclusion of groups who were usually ostracized by mainstream Jewish society of biblical times. Rev. Roberts contends that the gospels show that Jesus highlighted inclusive attitudes and values in his ministry and his apostles continued that trend which reached a climax at the Council of Jerusalem as recorded in the Acts of the Apostles. The path-breaking theological-doctrinal decision taken by the Council of Jerusalem therefore opened the doors of salvation history to greater inclusion as a model for being the church of Jesus Christ in the world.
