The Lancens are twelve prophesied chosen soldiers commissioned to fight and defeat the twelve Prime Lords who are rapidly conquering the known, colonized star systems of Vandeeda. Bin Lodo has closely observed the Lancens, seeing that dark glass is causing a huge problem (and eventually a fatal one if not corrected) within the hearts of the Lancens. Known for his extreme lessons and tests that are taught and taken in far-flung worlds in (usually) dangerous habitations, some of the Lancens begin to believe he is senile while others defend his efforts as beneficial. Arguments erupt; relationships are broken because of the arcane element of dark glass. Can Professor Lodo succeed in his efforts of getting the Lancens to recognize their problems? Can our heroes learn to solve their own problems? Will they be able to prevail against dark glass as they enter a fight with twenty-six-foot-long giant SquamAdia?
