Seventeen-year-old Michelle Simpson did not plan to become pregnant. She accepts her situation and loves her unborn child, even though the baby’s father wants nothing to do with Michelle. But Michelle’s parents demand she get an abortion. Afraid that they can force her, Michelle runs. With the whole nation looking for her, Michelle makes bad decisions that put her and the child in danger. Even as the baby grows inside her, Michelle suffers physical abuse of her own doing. When the baby is born and clings to life, Michelle realizes the awful results of her actions. Now she can only pray she has not harmed the child she was trying to protect.
