Maxims on Health, Business, Law, Policy, and Mind (1836)

This is my journey through the initial months of separation from my husband of twenty-one years and the attempt to move on with my life. Two weeks after a failed suicide attempt I was deemed aa dangera to myself and admitted to a psychiatric unit where I began writing this book. In it I express my fears, my confusion, and the problems I had in dealing with an angry husband as I attempted to find peace and the ability to love and trust again.
