Lettre a Monsieur Zimmerman (1765)
Samuel Auguste Andre David Tissot
Daniel Carnaugh was the eldest of six children. Because of a disabled father, all the responsibilities of the family fell to him. In a bid to escape responsibility, at least for a while, he took a vacation where he would be totally alone for four whole weeks. A short time into the vacation his world turned inside out. He faced strange animals and tyranny beyond belief. Instead of being responsible for his family, he found himself responsible for an entire world. Instead of family battles, he had a war to fight and life-or-death decisions to make.
