When the time came to explain to my grandson, Andy, how and why he came to be adopted by us, I searched for a childrenas story book that might help me and found none. It hit me, like a bolt of lightning that I had the knowledge and ability to produce just such a book. I pondered how I should approach the book or even begin. I wrote and illustrated his story, using a completely positive approach since this was the way he would find out for the first time about how he came to be with us.
