Bob Goss was born in Tombstone, Arizona, in 1956. In 1976-1978, he was a missionary in Argentina. Utilizing the new language that he learned there, he became a Spanish teacher and has taught in the public schools for twenty-three years. Besides Argentina, he has lived in Costa Rica and traveled to many parts of Mexico, Spain, and several other Spanish-speaking countries. He likes to share with the students his exotic, exciting and often humorous cultural adventures as a foreigner trying to survive, to take part in and to adapt to different cultural situations. In fact, his students trying to postpone or escape textbook explanations, workbook exercises or tedious verb conjugations often request stories about when he was a aGringoa or foreigner trying to fit in with the people, customs, and activities of faraway places. Sit back with the students and listen to Confessions of a Gringo Spanish Teacher.
