The Unlucky Family (1908)

When young Allen Bright won a professional golf tournament as an amateur, he immediately turned pro and began to soar to the top of the professional golf ranks. An unfortunate pairing in one of the high stakes tournaments marked him for a mighty fall. Rusty Nalle, a physical giant with an ego to match, thought he could bend the rules of golf to suit his own ends. During his second pairing with Rusty, Allen confronted the big guy with a possible rules violation. The argument that followed caused Rusty to lose his temper and, more ominous, his tour card. Rustyas quest to aget evena with Allen Bright led to a sinister plan to create an aaccidenta to effectively end Allen Brightas professional golf career, just as Rustyas had been ended. The nickname Rusty earned in high school, Rusty Nail, proved to foretell a fatal affliction for Allen Bright.
