Reminiscences of a Virginia Physician (1849)

After moving to a small country town, Samantha Brittain had to make many adjustments to her life. She was forced to leave her home and all of her friends behind when her father decided to take a new job. Although a big concern for Samantha, having to leave her friends behind would not be the biggest problem she would have to face. She would learn the hard way about sexual abuse, drug abuse and illness. Samantha, being only sixteen, would have to face these trials on her own. Not knowing how to handle this situation, will Samantha be able to overcome the most trying time a teenager should ever have to face?
