My name is Johnny Diaz and I started writing poems in high school. It was the only way I found I could purge myself of some emotional feelings I felt in my heart and could not get out of my head. Soon, I started to hear my friends and about their problems and relationships. So when I had nothing else to write, I wrote about them. For some poems, I tried to picture myself in situations people might be going through and I’d write and write. This book contains a variety of poems, some about love, which most of us are familiar with. Some about longing to be with that person you truly believe was made for you. Some about loneliness and how it seems God has forgotten about you. Even about being in such despair you see no other choice but to commit suicide. There’s a little bit of everything in this book. I’m sure you’ll find at least one poem you can relate to.
