On a dried-up, decaying planet, Jeannie Lunarbee starts her day like she starts every day at her high school in the city of Corpus. The world is desolate, the cities isolated, and the world is covered in wasteland. On her way to class one day, Jeannie is abducted by scientists, and manipulated into a werewolf. Ashamed and embarrassed by her strange condition, she is kicked out of school, and shunned by her classmates. Jeannie makes a decision to run away from home and search the desert world for a cure to her werewolfism. What she finds instead is a hidden evil in the world and a band of ragtag friends to help her fight it. Eighteen-year-old Jeannie, along with a guitar-wielding crusader, a bounty hunter, a mafia king, and a superhero, embark on a wild, strange adventure to solve the mystery of the world.
