After an alien force totally modified and improved J.D. Lyle following a heart attack, he and his wife, Janie, leave his doctor’s office and begin a short journey to let her drink some of that gray liquid that changed J.D. into his super-human form. On the way to his office where he kept this substance, the couple is hit head-on by a van. Janie’s injuries appear to the kind that will result in her demise, but J.D. is essentially unscathed. Janie undergoes prolonged surgery for her multiple trauma and lies in ICU for several days as J.D. devises a way to get the gray liquid to her and somehow get it into to her body without any of the hospital staff seeing. How he goes about this and what Janie’s final form will be will keep the reader fanning through the pages.
