In a small, eighteenth-century, seaport town, a young, newlywed baroness finds a pirate-stray that will change her life and itas course. Falling in love with this man will set her life and her husbandas in a direction that will be fulfilling and heartbreaking. The love and kindness of both the pirate and baron will eventually be tested for her sake. Her son uncovers a lifetime of promises and secrets, as he takes over the baronas merchant business and travels down to the Caribbean. Now, the pirate remembers the kindness of the baron, as he too is tested by fate. He must save her son and bring him back to the woman whom he has always loved, now returning her kindness he received so many years ago.
