Voices of the Silent Things (1914)

Twins are separated at an early age. Tommi goes to live with her father, leaving behind her family. She doesnat know if she will ever see them again. She finds herself growing up with only her father to keep her company. She marries a man that physically and sexually abuses her. She manages to get out of the situation and goes on to become a doctor. Her twin, Toni, goes through even worse problems. She stays with her mother along with her brothers and sister. She finds herself raped and pregnant at the young age of thirteen, she is physically and sexually abused, and she loses a child. Through it all, they overcome their tragedies and come together to form a stronger family bond.
