School and Home Cooking (1920)

A young man named Paladin witnesses his parentsa murder at the hands of raiders trying to plunder his fatheras trading post on a heavy-gravity planet near one edge of Galactic Federation space. Paladin, confused and wanting justice or vengeance for what has happened, discovers that his late father was a retired Galactic Federation Ranger with a rather special ship stored in a secret hangar at the trading post. Paladin takes the ship and follows his fatheras instructions to seek out one of his oldest and closest friends. Along the way, Paladin himself joins the Galactic Federation Rangers, and he discovers that the one responsible for his parentsa deaths is on a planet populated with fire-breathing dragons. These dragonsa skins are impervious to energy weapons, and the only way to kill one is with swords and other such weapons.
