Steve and Carrie Hansen had a life together in Sebrum City, even after the horrible murders and the death of their brother Jud Hansen. Neither one of them have forgotten the tragedy that fell over them when they were in college. No-one in the community had forgotten either. Eighteen years later, Carrie still wakes up with nightmares of Judas face, his rage, his anger. When she woke with these nightmares she felt like he was in the room with them. She did everything she could to try to put everything that happened behind her, but the memory of the day that she killed Jud still lingered in her mind. The nightmares were getting worse now that her daughter Lacey was graduating high school and had decided to go to Sebrum University. She was frightened for her daughteras life. Lacey had the option to leave Sebrum completely and attend an out-of-state college. Carrie practically pushed her out the door, but she just would not go. Lacey had decided that wherever she went there was always an opportunity for something bad to happen. She wanted to go to Sebrum.
