Peter Tulley, an avid golfer, a man who wouldnat tell a white lie if his life depended on it, literally stumbles upon a stolen work of art. The sculpture seems to be cursed; when Peter tries to return it, all hell breaks loose. Heas a fly caught in the web of ravenous spiders. The bad guys, the police, the media, and an irate art world are after him. Urged on by a zany woman and a neurotic art critic, Peter sheds his dull life, dons a new persona, and uses some of San Franciscoas most colorful and exotic locations to weave a web of his own.
