Prose and Verse by Thomas Hood (1853)

Over the years and even as a child, my thoughts seemed deep beyond my capability, with constant feelings within that my words hid from youth but would someday progress with age. Through all the evil stages over the decades, my soul never yielded to the human weaknesses we all battle each day. The words I have written throughout this manuscript of prose, poetry and parables are hidden messages each reader will search relentlessly for, and each will take from them different meanings. My desire and foremost inspiration and the fulfillment of my mysteries are my eyes within the nightly readings of the words of God. My writings deal with the presence forthcoming from the past I hold in my personal faith, unknowing of the existence of my word or the creation of spiritual awareness that reaches far within the mind and soul. Eyes from Within is that which God graciously blessed the depths of my heart.
