From Pekin to Calais by Land (1892)

During World War II, a great number of American men were called to serve their country. This is the story of one such man from Oklahoma who was called. He served and was taken prisoner by the German Army and lived to tell his tale. His memoirs may provide the most comprehensive information on record about Stalag-IIIB available today. Follow this man’s story from rural Oklahoma through training, to his deployment in Europe against the Nazi German regime, and his time spent along what is now the German/Polish border, where he was interned as a prisoner of war until his safe return home after Germany surrendered.
