Paul and Waldo remained friends and went to work at Building Centre along with their manager, John. They continued to go camping and eat out quite often. Paul and Colleen planned to be married and Pamela was to be Colleenas bridesmaid. Waldo was overwhelmed by Pamelaas charm when she came for the wedding. He asked her to move in with him, but before she could, Waldoas parents came for a Thanksgiving visit. After the visit, Pamela moved in. Paul and Colleen called off their wedding. Waldo asked Pamela to marry him two weeks before Christmas. A local hotel was their weekend honeymoon suite. The two couples went home for Christmas. With three days off; they traveled together.
