The young girl he lives with (Andrea) learns that Bertrand can understand her and teaches him to read. After reading Puss ana Boots he yearns for adventure. Andrea convinces him that adventures can be very dangerous, but even though he doesnat seek out adventure, it seems to have a way of finding him. This is the story of a few of Bertrandas adventures.
