Eternal Since Tuesday is a collection of brief essays, proverbs, poems and short plays that interweave in a panorama of post-midlife, post-modern American culture from a biblical vantage point. A forest shape emerges with fresh angles of insight not so obscured by trees. One begins, with the writer, to see the forest despite the trees. Memories heal, understanding breaks, as distance and altitude increase, confirming that every seat in the house offers the best view of something. But some of these views will no longer be articulated. A long-avoided but now routine glance at the obituary page tells us that the artistry we have treasured over the years is fast vanishing from the scene.–it is eternal since Tuesday.
