Not wanting the life that was dealt to them, Egypt, India and Ming-Lin strived hard to improve their lot in life. While all three women hold a degree of power and authority in the workplace, they have very little power and authority over their personal lives. As these three women try to let go of their past and embrace the future, they are dealt a devastating blow, which forces them to relive the life they tried hard to forget about. As they struggle to deal with deception, heartbreak, disloyalty, disappointment and real love, they are forced to see themselves in a way they never have.
