Sisters-in-law Marge and Edie Lindenwahl are both in their sixties, widowed and best friends. Once a month, they play euchre with their sisters, Bessie and Alma. At the April card party, they decide to take a trip to Colorado to visit Marge’s other sister, Peg. In the meantime, Marge and Edie visit a Western bar where they meet two men. Slim Westerman is enamored with Edie, but she and Marge have vowed that once was enough! In Colorado they encounter an international jewel thief, who has hidden stolen jewels in their luggage to avoid detection by the police. After beging harassed by the thief for days, the five gutsy ladies take matters into their own hands. Back home again, Edie is confronted by Slim, but at the age of sixty-six, should she give up her independence for marriage? Are these really the golden years ? Five senior ladies find there is life after 65 besides Social Security & Medicare. There’s excitement, adventure and fun…..and sometimes love!
