Aristoteles Metaphysik (1890)

Pleasant Hope, Missouri, is the scene and the year is 1957. The adventures surround three boys, a girl and a dog and their everyday life during their summer vacation. Their fun is suddenly interrupted when they are kidnapped and held hostage by three fugitives who have robbed a bank in Kansas City. These tough men believe the children have stolen their hidden money. The local sheriff and highway patrol officers, along with several of the town’s people, help in safely freeing the children and capturing the thieves. The lives and times of that innocent era are portrayed and describe the simpler lifestyle of the 1950s. Forty years later, two of the children, now in their fifties, return to Pleasant Hope and see the changes that have taken place since they left their small town after high school.
