Victor Gigante-Hueber and Brian Gossard are high school students being home schooled and are both avid Civil War Living Historians. They created Private Dibleydop, Sergeant Victor, and Colonel Gossard and their antics in hopes that others might, through their characters, gain an appreciation for what this War meant in our history. They have woven the actuality of the battles at Antietam and Gettysburg, and the historical facts with the antics of the fictional 6th Pennsylvania and its crazy Colonel Gossard and irritating Private Dibleydop to try to make this a book that all readers could enjoy and yet, learn something, from an historical point of view as well as what the true heritage of our country is. This is a book that truly can be enjoyed by all ages.
