The African Queen is up for auction. Both Jake and Lissa covet the boat for worthy causes. In memory of his father, Jake wants to re-create a jungle cruise tourist attraction. Lisa wants to add the famous vessel to her movie memorabilia attraction, to raise more money for her foundation helping terminally ill children. Lissa wins the famous boat without Jake’s knowledge. Attracted to each other, they find it easy to fall deeply in love. When Jake discovers Lissa deceived him, despite his longing for her, he treats her with loathing and sarcasm. But, they do agree on the tourist attraction, and set out on the maiden cruise in a backcountry creek off Key Largo. Alone together, they find themselves aground for several adventurous days and nights. Will they be rescued before acknowledging their love for each other? Will passion and romance be overtaken by deceit? Or will the African Queen weave its magic once more?
