Itineraire D’ Italie (1810)

James experiences culture-shock when transitioning from his middle-class society to owning a trucking company. His peculiar ethnic baggage disallows even a bridge to those who have his ancestral heritage. He is isolated, an outsider in his business, an alien in the land of his birth, and constantly overwhelmed by those with fewer talents, schooling and resources. At the lowest point, for the first time in his life, he experiences the presence of God.
