Posthumous Poems of the Reverend George Crabbe (1835)

Five prominent men are brutally murdered along the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. There is no shortage of suspects for the individual murders; however, the hard part is determining who wanted all five of them killed within a very short time span–enough to hire a professional hit man to do the job. Kyle Finette, the detective assigned to solve the multiple homicides, finds himself tracking the killer first to Florida and then to Washington D.C., only to find himself left with another dead body. To his horror, he finds that sometimes it’s only the innocents who are left to pay for the crimes.
