Mellenee Monique Miller was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Dillard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She has been a featured poet at various open mic venues. Mellenee has always loved language and expression. She has been writing poetry for eleven years. This collection of poetry depicts a variety of emotions. It takes you on a journey of reflection. Each poem opens you up to an experience; they reveal the heart of a human soul. The first group of poems deals with pain, confusion, and recklessness, and then they evolve into messages of hope, healing, wisdom, and spiritual truth. The mind of a human being can very much seem like a wilderness or a war zone at times. There is a constant inner struggle, trying to obtain happiness, peace, fulfillment, and most of all love.
