Oh Lamentations, Why Trouble Me? Lamentations shows Jeremiah weeping over the sins and destruction of the citya]and the more he cried unto the people and even the government in power, they would not repent. God showed them their sins, and they continued to sin like Sodom and Gomorrah. They had no shame, no conscience, they continued as they were. Jeremiah preached so hard in the gates of the city and they mocked him, had him thrown in the dungeon and he continued to write the words of the Lord that He has given him. To me, Jeremiah was saying perchance one soul will hear the words of the Lord that he has given me.
