Over the Seas for Uncle Sam (1918)

When the going gets tough, the tough get going…in this case all the way to clown school and a series of events that reshape the life of man frustrated and maddened by his day-to-day routine. Lonely and life-embittered martial arts instructor Steve Martinson is a man on the edge. He’s ready to blow and take the whole world with him in the process. Fortunately for Steve, a vacation from normal life while attending clown school turns into a performance career under the big top and around the world. Along the way, and with the help of some good friends, he finds what his old life was missing, only to learn he then misses his old life. Bound by a long-term performance contract and placed in the spotlight after saving the life of a United States congressman, Steve struggles to find balance between his calling and the life he’s obligated to live.
