Our present health care delivery system operates according to the paradigm of managed care. Managed care has led to the near bankruptcy of health care, 44 million uninsured, and anomalies in the medical profession that place the interests of health plans above those of patients. Although Finding Hippocrates is a compelling discussion on the tragic costs of this failing paradigm and the national disgrace of our health care policy, it focuses on a future that goes beyond politically expedient solutions.
