Where is the city named Go-and-see? There is a little girl Tibbie who lives with her family- father Ven, grandma Martha, cow Elsie, dog Bob, Pussy-cat, the minute Crumbie and great hero Baldie who falls straight out of a TV screen. Tibbie makes friends with donkey Bento-a singer. Harmful witches appear to act in the city (the Archivist Boom, his father Boomboom and grandpa Boomboomboom) who are helped by Grand Magnus (a very skinny and very tall man), his wife Mag (the fattest lady in the world) and their son Max (a very sly boy). The setting of the adventures of the heroes is the entire city-the theatre, the city hall, the prison, the underground. A fight breaks out with the army of rats, witches and monkeyboys. Eventually the heroes find the Sun Shell that is the reason of this war and they fly to the moon to rescue Tibbie’s mummy.
