Through my writing you will see a wife, mother, daughter, sister, child and woman struggling with a mental disorder. Writing is my escape from reality. Almost all my writing comes from personal experiences, feelings and emotions. Come join me through my highs, lows and in-betweens. Take an intimate look at a bipolar mind. I speak my heart in my poetry and hope that my words can bring a sense of hope and inspiration to others living with this disease. I am a survivor. Iave endured every type of abuse known to man, and yet Iam still here. Iave had a lifelong bout with bipolar disorder. Such experiences have given me strength and inspiration. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of twenty-two, but I received no treatment until the age of thirty-two. Those ten years taught me muchahow to hate, abuse, and self-destruct. I started to write to vent, and found that it was the best therapeutic treatment I had ever encountered. I realize that my words cannot change the world, but one can always dream.
