I learned in college that Happiness is the Summum Bonum and concluded that if work couldn’t be fun, it would mess up my life. And my family deserved a happy dad.Recently, a brilliant friend asked if there was anything I would have done differently in life or anything I missed doing and would like to accomplish. My answer: Not a thing! It’s been a very good life, and were it not for the Nazis, I would never have gotten to Amerike, nor benefited from America’s largesse - a free education, meaningful career, and to roam the world with my wife, enjoying wonderful vistas and meeting great people in a 20-year consulting career.As you read ahead, you may find some of the technical stuff tedious. Just skip what we learned from some of the best companies in the world, that I thought were still relevant today and share our adventures.
