Emma goes to college, where she meets her life partner, Orman, and they fall in love. World War II takes them both to the army for three years serving their country. They take time on a furlough to speak their wedding vows. After the war they start life together in South Dakota. They parent three children, pursue several careers and experience many moves. On retirement, Emma and Orman hook up to their trailer to tour the United States, spending winters in the Southwest and summers in the Northwest. Their variety-filled life keeps them happy together for over 62 years. They weather the years through communication and love for each other, their three children, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
