Scilly and Its Legends (1852)

This book details the life of a son of Italian immigrants. His story begins in a cave in the side of a mountain in the Colorado mining region and tracks through his childhood, his military service during WWII and marriage and raising his own family. Looking at the trials and tribulations of being raised during the Great Depression in a light hearted fashion. Experience Tony’s family and friends through the tragedies of loosing loved ones but more importantly through the antics of a family of rebels and acts of mishieviousness leaving one to wonder how one could ever survive childhood. Raised in a poor immigrant family only to begin his adult life, as many of this generation, starting a family and rising through the economic ladder. His reunion with his family and his trip to Italy.
