Raven didnat know that when she picked Nicolaias pocket it would set off a chain of events that would throw them into an alliance with a group of unlikely heroes. She hadnat thought of herself as anything but a thief in years, and Nicolai and Guttermuth were rogue warriors looking for a fight - who knew they would be expected to do the right thing. Saving Hope, the Mountain Giant child, affected all of their lives. It was not the smartest thing to anger Naem-Yug, if you wanted to live a long, healthy life, but anger him they did when they rescued Hope and Granite from the flesh peddler he had hired.
