Enid, an only child, was born overseas abroad to American parents in 1970 courtesy of the military. In 1975, at the age of six, she and her family moved to the United States where she grew up in the state of Virginia. She relocated to the state of Delaware in 2003 and continues to enjoy an enriching and fulfilling life. At the age of twelve, Enid found her poetic voice as she encountered many experiences, good and bad, and developed opinions about situations, people, and places throughout her well-rounded life as it took shape around her. She found writing poetry to be a therapeutic outlet. It was not until she was well into mid-adulthood that she decided to share her thoughts about the turn of events with the world in written form. aPoetry allows me to move through life and appreciate it for what it is as well as embrace each occurrence as a learning experience as it happens; my own swan song. I call it my ELL theory: experience, learn, and let it go. Thatas what happens when I write and it is such a freeing feeling.a
