The Port Everglades Conspiracy is the fast-paced sequel to Tuzla, the historical novel by Lorin Alan Weiss about the events following the tragedy of the Bosnian War. The story begins with one of the main characters being transferred from the FBI to the new Department of Homeland Security after the September eleventh attacks. He is soon assigned a junior partner, who happens to be gay. The pair is sent to Canada to help investigate an attempt to kill the prime minister by Iranians from Bosnia. There they meet a young Bosnian who enlightens them about a terrorist conspiracy to embarrass the United States. These three men must now prevent the terrorists from shooting down the space shuttle at Cape Canaveral, and then blowing up the Queen Elizabeth II as it sails by the highly combustible fuel tanks at Port Everglades on its way out to sea.
