Seth Stevenas mother walked out on him when he was twelve, and he was left with his abusive, alcoholic father. Years later, a case is brought to Seth surrounding a skeleton that was found by some hikers. The bones turn out to belong to his mother, who was murdered twenty-some years ago. The main suspect is Sethas father. Seth is warned off the case, but canat seem to pull himself away. With the help of his best friend, Noah, and the support of his wife, Jenna, he tries to get to the bottom of it all, finding that as he gets deeper and deeper involved, the lines between right and wrong get harder and harder to distinguish, and finding out the truth could cost him everyone he loves.
