Cedar Jackson is the story of an agent for the Territorial Governor of Wyoming, whose amnesia prevents him from doing his job and almost gets him killed in the process. Instead of ridding the town of Paxton, Wyoming, of the criminal element that has taken it over, he finds himself working for the very man he is supposed to be working against. After it is discovered that he is not the outlaw everyone thought he was, his former crime boss has him taken out of town to be killed and buried. The trauma of getting shot while trying to escape causes him to remember his real name. He is rescued by a fellow agent and nursed back to health. Then he makes and executes a bold and risky plan to rid the town of its oppressors.
