Annie Famous knows her life is far from normal. She has stumbled through a chaotic childhood filled with instability and superstition and now, as an adult, has begun a quest to find happiness, but it is not easy. Obstacles appear, first in the form of an older, quirky man named Shawn, whom she chooses for a husband and mistakes for true love. Quickly, she finds her passion is more pointed toward raising Shawn’s painfully shy daughter, Emily, whose own mother abandoned her. After thirteen tumultuous years, Annie escapes this scenario only to find herself in another relationship with another unsuitable man, whose emotional baggage could fill an airport! Meanwhile, a demanding job as a medical transcriptionist working for an incompetent narcissist named Luna complicates an already misguided life. Join Annie in her outrageous, sometimes tragic, sometimes hilarious, but always poignant journey as she learns that the most important sacrifice one can make is for one’s own self-worth.
