And that communication between the two worlds is not only possible, but an actual fact, is believed by many who openly avow it, and by many more who hesitate to acknowledge it for fear of unsympathetic criticism. The wish to hear from the world beyond earth is a natural wish, and sometimes that wish becomes a longing that must seek satisfaction.
