The History and Liturgy of the Sacraments

The only aim of this book was to make the rites and the meaning of the rites which the Church uses in administering the Sacraments better known, in order to arouse the understanding and devotion of the faithful to the better reception of them. The reader will not find in these pages a history of the Sacraments. It is merely an attempt to give a summary examination of the rites used by the church, the Latin church in particular, in their administration.
